Are you able to deliver excellence? Our aspiration is to be recognised
as a first-class Council by 2012. To help us realise this aspiration
our forward-thinking administration have recently developed a new
vision, defining our strategic direction through a new and ambitious
Corporate Plan. This plan will help us to deliver what matters to our
community. Our HR strategy is challenging and includes harmonisation of
terms and conditions of employment, workforce planning and development,
accreditation against the IIP standard, continued integration of the HR
& Payroll system and much, much more. Reporting directly to the
Chief Executive the HR & Payroll Manager is ideally placed to
influence the strategy and direction of the Council in relation to
staffing matters. This is a challenging role that needs a very special
person. If you are an enthusiastic, energetic, motivated, HR or other
qualified specialist with experience of managing professional teams at
a strategic and operational level, we would very much like to hear from
you.
Your input will be critical to the success of our strategy and in turn
our Corporate Plan. You will be managing a committed and able team who
are dedicated to supporting the drive for improvements we have planned.
With your leadership skills, project planning, strategic vision and
creativity you will guide the team to deliver first class and focused
services, which support the council's corporate vision. In return you
will receive a competitive salary, and a generous benefits package that
includes flexible, family-friendly working patterns, Local Government
Pension Scheme, generous holiday entitlement, discounted leisure centre
fees, staff canteen & childcare voucher scheme.
